About Rematch

Rematch is a new award-winning immersive experience that reimagines the greatest stories in sport as live immersive events. Our experiences provide a multi-sensory and exploratory journey, allowing fans of all ages to become a part of the narrative. Our mission is to connect generations and inspire communities of all ages, genders, and backgrounds to be more empathetic, present, and united. Our story telling is socially impactful, inclusive, and responsible, fuelled by history and driven by hope.

At events we ask fans to come dressed in the era. They are greeted by our cast of actors in character who give them roles to play and encourage audience participation. Fans can explore installations, fulfil challenges, interact with memorabilia, eat, drink, and enjoy music of the time. This is before taking in a unique theatrical reinterpretation of the match using special effects, cutting edge technology, archive footage, and of course our actors. Our debut event in partnership, held at the Troubadour Theatre in Wembley, with the All-England Lawn Tennis Club – Wimbledon Rematch 1980 won Creative Event of the Year at the Campaign Magazine Experience Awards in 2020. For its next event, Rematch – The Sporting Time Machine has partnered up with Muhammad Ali Enterprises to reimagine what is often referred to as ‘the greatest sporting event of the 20th century’ – The Rumble in the Jungle, which took place in Zaire, Africa 1974. Muhammad Ali created a major upset in a classic tale of overcoming adversity. The event that forged a path for Ali to become a humanitarian dignitary and cultural force.
