Fee: £800 per week paid fortnightly in arrears. This is a buyout fee that covers 48hrs / 6days per week. Overtime is paid hourly at £25 per hour.

Show: 6 days per week (Tuesday to Sunday), evening shows with matinee performances on Saturday and Sunday.
End: Sunday 10th December, 2023. (option to extend run a further 3-weeks)

The Role:
Rematch are looking for an experienced Video Operator to join the show running team of Rumble in the Jungle, an immersive production inspired by the iconic 1974 World Heavyweight title fight between George Foreman and Muhammad Ali in Kinshasa. Ideally applicants will have experience of working on immersive productions with large ensembles. We actively encourage applications from artists who belong to the Global Majority.

Our real-life events and virtual-world experiences provide a multi-sensory and exploratory journey, allowing fans of all ages to become a part of the narrative. We connect generations and reach beyond the boundaries of sports fans to inspire people with the greatest stories in sport. In 2019 we launched our pilot event with Wimbledon and we are now poised to launch new events with different sporting IP.
You’ll be responsible for:
- Maintaining a full understanding of the show, in particular with regards to the video elements;
- Operating the video of the show as instructed by the Video Designer;
- Keeping the video cue sheets up to date and track changes;
- Ensuring all video equipment is ready for each show, this includes performing the power-up, pre-show checks and power-down routines;
- Performing scheduled maintenance on the video systems;
- Performing emergency repairs on the video systems as required to ensure the smooth running of the show, and where appropriate escalating the issue to the Technical Staging Manager;
- Briefing and training the Technical Swing on their cover requirements should you be unavailable for a show;
- Ensure that video control areas, back of house and storage locations are kept clean, tidy and organized;
- Working collaboratively with all other departments to ensure the smooth running of the show;
- Support the Video Design and Production Video team during the Technical and Preview period as required;
- Comply with the companies’ Health and Safety policies, including maintenance and show risk assessments at all times.
You’ll need:
- Video Operating experience, in theatre, immersive or similar;
- Experience of Projectors and LED Screens used in a theatrical performance;
- Experience of operating a show to both DSM cues and timecoded cues;
- Experience of operating professional camera equipment, both handheld and remote;
- Ability to problem solve and the maintenance and repair of video systems;
- Be confident working at height and using access equipment.
Desirable skills:
- Experience of Pixera Media Server;
- First Aid qualifications;
- IPAF qualifications;
